Sunday Punnies #16

Bizarro is brought to you today by Wild Animals!

Wow. It seems like it was just yesterday that I drew the first Bizarro Sunday Punnies, but here we are at #16! It was, in fact, some day other than yesterday, but I don’t remember when. If I were more energetic, I’d scroll down the list of categories in the right margin of this blog, click on “Sunday Punnies” and find the first one and say when it was. If only.

In my own humble opinion (and believe me, it is quite humble and never brags) this is a particularly good group of puns donated by readers. Congrats (and thanks!!) to the three contributors for catching my eye with these dandy bits of amusement. I only wish I could reward them with a free Bizarro T-shirt or a signed print or something, but that would require effort and I believe you know how short I am on that.

If you’d like to be similarly unrewarded for a pun of your own, here are the rules:

1. Your pun must be original to you, not something you saw or heard somewhere.

2. You have to be willing to give it to me without expectation of compensation now or ever in your whole life.

3. Leave your pun in the comments section of this blog, along with the way you’d like to be credited if I should choose it. NOTE: YOUR PUN IDEA WILL NOT SHOW UP IN THE COMMENTS SO AS NOT TO RUIN IT FOR READERS IF I USE IT, OR LEAVE YOU OPEN TO RIDICULE IF IT REALLY REALLY SUCKS. But rest assured, I read ALL of the comments to this blog personally, so I will see it.

Please visit this blog regularly, not just when I have Sunday Punnies. I post three or four times a week and include all kinds of humorous comments, sketchbook art, personal photos of my energetic life, and other surprises. You’ll see.

If you or a loved one would like one of my Bizarro cartoons on a fine product, click here.

    • Holy cow, that’s creepy as hell. The link you left me is a dead end so I didn’t get to see the video. In what way did it appear? The video seems to have been removed from the Internet, or at least, I can’t find it anywhere.

          • Dan, what does that last comment mean? “Used in its proper context”? I’d have thunk that you’d prefer he didn’t use your cartoon to support his views at all. You are an odd man, and this is an odd comment from you. (Not dissing you at all, just curious…)

          • No, of course I would not want to have one of my comics used by a murderous maniac. You’re right. But since he did, all I was really saying was at least he did not take it out of context and use it to mean something I did not intend. The comic was taking a poke at the ridiculous lengths people will sometimes go to to be “politically correct” and “multicultural,” and that was how he used it. Although clearly, the entire issue has become absurdly out of proportion in his mind. I do not share his views.

    • Thanks for the link. I don’t agree with his politics or methods, of course, but at least he used my cartoon in its proper context: pointing out the idiocy of much political correctness.

  1. Dear Mister Very Funny Man,

I would like to see what you can do with “The Coati Kid”.

Your work makes me laugh. Really hard. Thank you for that.

    I hope you are well.

    Sincerely,

    James Hagler
