Bizarro is brought to you today by Young Vet In Training.

My, how time flies. Here it is today already and just 24 hours ago it was yesterday. Will it ever end? So far, it hasn’t, and that is the point of this cartoon. Eternity is a notoriously difficult concept for the human mind to grasp from inside our tiny fishbowl lives, but I find it very helpful to contemplate.

This mostly blue cartoon is about what it says it is about.

Years ago I swore off mandatory gift-giving on holidays. It was a great relief and a decision I’ve never regretted. Yes, I know the nation’s retailers will all go belly up and the terrorists will have won if we don’t all bankrupt ourselves on national holidays. But whose fault is that, really? (I don’t know, I’m actually asking.)

OLD BIZNESS: Here’s a little ditty from the early 2000s that doesn’t have any direct relationship to the cartoons above except that most people buy stuff online now. I’ve always liked this gag and I also like reading about primitive cultures. BizarroAmazonWEB

  1. I cannot believe that Slackerman has a poster of your girlfriend on his bedroom wall.

What excellent comic choices today. I especially got a kick out of the information highway. For some reason, I thought of shampoo instructions, “Lather, rinse, repeat” as a different way to express eternity. But then again, my brain is behaving oddly lately. I think I will go soak it.

  2. The local stores already had isles packed with Christmas stuff before September ended. It’s disgusting really. Can’t we enjoy Halloween and Thanksgiving before Big Merchandise pushes this on us? It’s far too early. At this time of year I’m so glad I do most of my shopping online!

  3. That cartoon reminds me of another of the Internet’s great conundrums: How did get to be a hotel site? You’d expect to find kayaks on there.

  4. I read your strip regularly. It always makes me laugh and I can always use a smile. That first strip is great…it would work as a circle too; or a Möbius strip, which I imagine might be hard to draw. Thanks for doing what you do…

  5. That Moebius strip looks like a bra… and there’s a pun for a Sunday. … perhaps about where Moebius got his idea for the strip…..
