Here’s one of those rare cartoons that came from my own personal experience. It documents how I lost my medical license, which is why I became a cartoonist. I’ve yet to fully replace my income as a surgeon, however.

PICKLED JAZZ: From the Bizarro Archival Sewer Pipes comes this one from 1996. It was written and drawn a few weeks after my first marriage broke up and is proof that humor can be generated even when a person is feeling suicidal.
